A delegation from Liberia and Sierra Leone attended the 66th Annual Conference of the West African College of Surgeons, held from 8–12 February in Accra.
The conference brought together surgeons, trainees, and partners from across West Africa to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaborations, and discuss the future of surgical care in the region.
Following the conference, participants also took part in the Beyond Birth meeting, which focused on improving postnatal care and maternal health outcomes.
Participation in regional events such as these plays an important role in fostering collaboration, sharing expertise, and strengthening surgical training and healthcare systems across West Africa.
